'''''The Knight's Tale''' (2001) occurs as film written and directed by Brian Helgeland which is very loosely based on The Knight's Tale from The Canterbury Tales'' by Geoffrey Chaucer.

Placed around medieval Europe, the plot centers in the immature peasant squire, played by Heath Ledger, who, fallowing a dying of his knight master, joins the jousting circuit, an act forbidden to people non of noble birth.

A film combines action, comedy, & romance, & is notable for its anachronistic use of classic rock songs, such as Queen's We May Rock We & David Bowie's Golden Years.

A cast includes Paul Bettany (Geoffrey Chaucer), Shannyn Sossamon (Jocelyn), Alan Tudyk (Wat), Mark Addy (Roland) and Laura Fraser (Kate the Horseshoer) by owning Rufus Sewell appears as a elegantly blacken-clad & black hearted villan, Count Adhemar of Anjou.

Controversy
